JOB SUMMARY:
The Information Security position is a critical role responsible for managing organizational cybersecurity practices and overseeing risk management initiatives. The position entails identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, refining security policies and procedures, implementing compliance measures, and providing security updates to leadership. This role requires technical expertise across multiple security domains and a proactive approach to safeguarding organizational assets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and enforce security requirements, protocols, and standards.
- Implement and oversee security policies, practices, and procedures.
- Conduct functional and security testing of systems to identify potential risks.
- Review enterprise architectures and application source code for security impacts.
- Employ continuous monitoring tools to evaluate system security.
- Assess vulnerabilities and recommend additional security controls or safeguards.
- Develop and execute strategies to address procedural and technical vulnerabilities.
- Identify and classify potential threats across various domains (cyber, structural, environmental, etc.).
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage security system administration and ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and deliver IT security training and awareness programs.
- Oversee data monitoring and loss prevention protocols.
- Analyze system logs and investigate irregularities to address security concerns.
- Respond to cyber incidents by collecting and analyzing digital evidence.
- Collaborate with the Incident Response Team to mitigate and remediate security breaches.
- Perform incident triage, report findings, and ensure proper escalation procedures are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Security) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in information security roles.
- Proficiency in security frameworks and standards (ISO27000 series, NIST CRF, PCI-DSS, etc.).
- Technical certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA Security) are strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., SonarQube, Nessus, Metasploit, Wireshark).
- Strong program management and problem-solving skills.
